"In the current context in Europe, I think the Social Democratic Party that promotes innovative and progressive ideas is an example for our social democratic family. I believe that at this crucial time, social democratic parties must be the voice of inclusion and equality and fight against the agenda of liberal parties which exclude certain strata of the population. Therefore, it is refreshing to note that TSD promotes citizen participation in local or central government.

I'm sure that PSD will do their best to fight corruption and to ensure transparency of decision-making. To achieve these goals, we have to implement six key steps:to assure transparency in the way political parties are funded, publishing accounts of political parties and officials, creating a public register of all officials in the administration, compulsory registration of all lobbyists, transmission to society of clear records on conflicts of interest, and a long-term plan by introducing civic education in schools.

The fact that today we have a Social Democrat government is a tremendous opportunity to bring Romania back on a path of social equality and economic development, but also as a signal of change in the European Union. We look with optimism at the government that will implement the reforms needed to improve the quality of life of Romanians.
